Veteran's Day Celebration

Students at Central Elementary School had the opportunity to honor our Veterans on a special day.  Students and teachers had a "Rally Around the Flag"  to begin the day.  The VFW color guard marched down the sidewalk and raised the U.S. and Nebraska flags.   Briana Bedlan played the Assembly and Call to Colors bugle call as the flags were raised.  The National Anthem was then played.  Students concluded the Rally by singing You're a Grand Old Flag.

Grade levels were also given a program by Freddie Drexler, on the history of the U. S. flag.  It was very informative.

A Veterans Honor Wall was displayed in the school.  There were many stars representing veterans who are family members of Central School students and staff.

Each student was presented with a small American flag and an American flag pencil.  It was a special day to honor special Americans.
