 Energizer's New Reward Program

Is there someone who has taken time out of their lives to show you leadership? Someone who has shown you leadership values and skills that you can look up to? Do you want to recognize this person?  Now you can. Energizers has developed a new reward program called R.E.A.L., which stands for random energized acts of leadership.

Todd Westover, Energizer’s sponsor, said “The idea for this is in high school most kids just try to blame each other. With this it is to try to reward those kids who have gone out of their way to be a leader to those around them.” This is a first time program according to Westover. “I came up with this idea one day when I watched a student go out of his way for another, I thought why not reward him, so I came up with this reward program,” said Westover

“I think this is a great opportunity for kids to be recognized for their good actions. Most people have a tendency to point out the bad things kids do. So it’s nice to reward them for their efforts,” said Kristi Peterson math teacher and J-high counselor who has nominated several people since. The REAL reward (of candy) is given out every day. To nominate a person who has shown a random energized act of leadership just go to Mr. Westover’s room and tell him who, and why. The day’s winner will be announced on the following morning’s announcements.
