| Introduction Choosing
a career will be one of the most important decisions you will make in your life.
Many of the careers of the future have not even been created yet! This project is
designed to provide you with the opportunity to use the Internet to search for information
that will help you choose the appropriate career. |
Task Your
task in this Web Quest will be to search appropriate web sites for information on
career(s) of your choice. You will then assemble this information into an
informational presentation which explains your career(s).
|
| Process 1.
The web site America's Career
InfoNet allows you to pick any career and discover what it takes to get into the
field, the job outlook, wages and trends, and the state outlook for this career.
2. Search the Occupational
Outlook Handbook for additional information about careers.
3. The site It's My Future can be
used to test your career interests. This site also contains useful information about
interviews and military careers.
4. Check out the Netscape
Career Center. This site allows you to choose a job category and a location.
Use this site after you have decided on your career choice to determine
availability of jobs.
5. Do not limit your career search. The Internet provides a wealth
of information on careers and opportunities. Check out these additional sites:
- America's Job Bank
- Career Mosaic
- Career Path
- Student Center
- Career Site
- Job Hunt
