Central Elementary First Graders observed Patriot Day and reflected on all the happenings on September 11, 2001.  Most of the first graders were only a baby at the time and a few weren't even born yet!  In Social Studies, Mrs. Comer has been talking with our students about America, The Pledge of Allegiance, our Constitution, and most recently, the events that took place on 9/11.  Mrs. Comer said that the discussion that they had regarding 9/11brought tears to the children's eyes.  When we talked about what to journal about on 9/11, they all remembered something from that conversation.  The events, that took place on that life-changing day, are still effecting our future...
