sending it. We will generally enjoy birthday

on the last day of the school week for their Friday
Folder. You will find a school newsletter and many
important papers that your child has completed
throughout the week. Please sign and return the
folder on Monday. |

Gloves or mittens - Cold hands, warm heart may be a
cute saying, but it is not so cute for 1st grade
fingers. Please make sure your child has something
to cover up their hands when the weather turns cold.
Glue Sticks - Your child will bring home a note when
their glue sticks are running low. We use glue
sticks for most of our art projects, it is extremely
helpful if all students have an abundant supply of glue
sticks. |

Handwriting - Our school district uses the
Zaner-Bloser handwriting program. It is beneficial
to all if
this type of writing is modeled at home.

Please make sure your child has a hood or a hat to cover
their head when it is cold outside. |

Individual - I will encourage each child to think
for themselves and be an individual. We will
celebrate each child. |

Just Ask - If there is something you do not
understand or are curious about, please feel free to
ask! As I will tell your child, you only learn
what you don't know, by looking for the answer! |

Kids - Please remember your child is learning and
growing every day. Let them explore and
enjoy...they are our future! |

Lunch - We eat lunch at 11:30. Parents are
welcome to join us for lunch, please just call or send a
note before doing so. |

Money - If you send money with your child, please
make sure it is in a marked envelope. Often times,
students bring money to school and do not remember what
the money is for.
Mystery Readers - Please consider being a Mystery
Reader for our classroom.

successful. Please join the Central PTA.

Conferences will be held twice a year, once in October,
and then again in March. Please watch your child's
Friday folder for a scheduled conference time. |

Question - Question your child every night about
what they did in school. Do not accept "nothing"
as a response. Phrase your question so that it is
not a "yes or no" answer. |

Rules - Our classroom has three rules.
1. Be Respectful
2. Be Responsible
3. Be Safe
Report Cards - Report cards will be sent home at the
end of each quarter. |

Snow Boots - When there is snow on the ground,
students are required to wear snow boots in order to get
to play in the snow. They must also have an extra
pair of shoes to change in to. If students do not
have snow boots, they will be able to play on the hard
surface. |

Tardies - The tardy bell will ring at 8:30.
Students who enter the classroom after this bell will be
considered tardy.
Teeth - Losing teeth is a big part of First

They can become lost and are a distraction to the
learning process. |

Unique - Each child will have their own unique way
of expressing themselves. Our classroom will allow
each child to be their own person. |

Visitors - Visitors are required to sign in at the
office and have school personnel notify the teacher of
their arrival. This is to ensure the safety and
security of the students and staff of our school.
