October 4, 2008 - Central Elementary students took part in some Homecoming festivities.

September 30, 2008 - The first day of autumn was welcomed by creating some scarecrows!  We created apple glasses and learned about Johnny Appleseed!

September 22, 2008 - We celebrated Patriot Day and Joseph's mom came to be a  Mystery Reader!

September 11, 2008 - Our first mystery reader came!  Many thanks to Jaelle's dad!

August 17, 2008 - Welcome back to school!  Please check out my new students!  We had a fantastic first day of school.

June 26, 2008 - I had a blast teaching a summer Thinking Caps class.  We learned how to play a lot of new games!

May 10, 2008 - We spent the day at the Fun Park.  We also had our last Mystery Reader of the year!

May 6, 2008 - Kane's Grandma stopped by as a Mystery Reader!

March 9, 2008 - The Cat in the Hat took over our room.  Look and see how we honored Dr. Seuss.

February 26, 2008 - Our whole school celebrated President's Day together.  See what we looked like as George Washington.  We also designed our own bald eagle just like the one on the Presidential Seal!

February 19, 2008 - We have been so busy lately!  We had a fantastic Valentine's Day and wait until you see how closely we resemble Abraham Lincoln!

February 10, 2008 - Find out what we would do with $100.00 and what we will be like when we are 100 years old!  Have you ever thought what love means to a first grader?

January 29, 2008 - The 100th day of school!  After enjoying a "hot" 61 degrees yesterday, the 100th day of school greeted us with -5 degree wind chills.  Gotta love living in Nebraska!  Take a look and see how we spent our day!

January 25, 2008 - Our peer tutor Cassi came back and surprised us as a Mystery Reader!

January 13, 2008 - Mr. Christiansen was our first Mystery Reader of 2008!

January 3, 2008 - We were all excited to get back to school after our holiday break.  We celebrated the beginning of 2008 by making some resolutions!

December 29, 2007 - The month of December was full of Holiday Activities.

November 11, 2007 - We celebrated Veteran's Day on November 8th.  We have decided that 1st grade is A-Maize-ing!

November 10, 2007 - To help us with our Veteran's Day celebration, Bryston's Dad came as a Mystery Reader.

October 26, 2007 - Two Mystery Readers in one day!  Colton's mom and RJ's mom came to read to us.

October 23-29, 2007 - We have been celebrating Red Ribbon Week.  Look and see how we will stay drug free!

October 17, 2007 - The Fairbury Fire Department came and showed us some fire safety tips.  We got to walk through their simulator.  Check out how it looked on the inside!

October 10, 2007 - We had a very busy day!  We had an ice cream party, Mrs. Banahan, the School Board President, was a Mystery Reader, and we created our spider webs with spiders after reading The Spider and the Fly.
