A
Thanksgiving Song
(The Farmer In The Dell)
The Pilgrim says thanks,
The Pilgrim says thanks,
Hi Ho on Thanksgiving Day
The Pilgrim says thanks.
The turkey says gobble,
The turkey says gobble,
Hi Ho on Thanksgiving Day
The turkey says gobble.

Five Little
Turkeys
Five little turkeys standing by the door
One waddled off, and then there were four.
Four little turkeys under a tree,
One waddled off, and then there were three.
Three little turkeys with nothing to do,
One waddled off, and then there
were two.
Two little turkeys in the noon day sun,
One waddled off, and then there was one.
One little turkey better run away,
For soon will come Thanksgiving Day!

Giving
Thanks
We will
cook Thanksgiving dinner for our guests. (Mmm, mmm)
We will cook Thanksgiving dinner for our guests. (Mmm,
mmm)
Oh the turkey has been basting.
We are tempted to start tasting.
We will cook Thanksgiving dinner for our guests. (Mmm,
mmm)
We will
gather round the table when they come. (Oh yes!)
We will gather round the table when they come. (Oh yes!)
We are thankful for each other,
Every cousin, sister and brother!
We will gather round the table when they come. (Oh yes!)

The
Turkey on the Farm
(The Wheels on the Bus)
The
turkey on the farm says,
Gobble, gobble, gobble
Gobble, gobble, gobble
Gobble, gobble, gobble
The turkey on the farm says
Gobble, gobble, gobble
On Thanksgiving Day.
The farmer on the farm goes
Chop, chop, chop
Chop, chop, chop
Chop, chop, chop
The farmer on the farm goes
Chop, chop, chop
On Thanksgiving Day.
The
turkey on the farm says
Please help me!
Please help me!
Please help me!
The turkey on the farm says
Please help me!
On Thanksgiving Day.
The
children on the farm say
Come and hide,
Come and hide,
Come and hide,
The children on the farm say
Come and hide,
On Thanksgiving Day.
The
wife on the farm looks
All around,
All around,
All around,
The wife on the farm looks
All around,
On Thanksgiving Day.
The
family on the farm eat
Kentucky Fried Chicken,
Kentucky Fried Chicken,
Kentucky Fried Chicken,
The family on the farm eat
Kentucky Fried Chicken,
On Thanksgiving Day.
The
turkey on the farm says,
Gobble, gobble, gobble
Gobble, gobble, gobble
Gobble, gobble, gobble
The turkey on the farm says
Gobble, gobble, gobble
On Thanksgiving Day. |

The
Turkey Pokey
(The
Hokey Pokey)
You
put your right wing in.
(right arm)
You put your right wing out.
You put your right wing in, And you shake it all about.
You do the turkey pokey
And you turn yourself around.
That's what it's all about!
Continue with additional verses:
Left wing (left arm)
Right drumstick (right leg)
Left drumstick (left leg)
Stuffing (tummy)
Tail feathers (bottom)
Whole turkey (whole body)

I Am Thankful
I am thankful, I am thankful
Yes I am, Yes I am
I am thankful for my friends
I am thankful for my kin
Yes I am, Yes I am.

It’s That Time, Again!
The days are getting shorter now.
I feel a snowflake on my brow.
The leaves are crackling as I run,
The squirrels’ searching almost done.
The turkey’s restless in the pen,
Oh! No! I see my breath again!
It makes a person take a pause
And think about old Santa Claus!

Thanksgiving
The year has turned its circle,
The seasons come and go.
The harvest is all gathered in
And chilly north winds blow.
Orchards have shared their treasures,
The fields, their yellow grain.
So open wide the doorway-
Thanksgiving comes again!

Turkeys
The turkey is a funny bird
Its head goes bobble-bobble;
And all he knows is just one word…
And that is Gobble-Gobble.

Mr. Turkey
I heard Mr. Turkey say,
"Gobble, gobble, gobble.
Soon it will be Thanksgiving Day.
Gobble, gobble, gobble.
People say it is great fun
But I think that I will run
And hide until the day is done.
Gobble, gobble, gobble."

Thank You
Thank you, thank you
Let's all sing.
Thank you, thank you
For everything.
Thanks for the flowers,
Thanks for the trees,
Thanks for the sun
That shines on me.
Thank you, thank you
Let's all sing.
Thank you, thank you
For everything.

Mr. Turkey
Mr. Turkey, Mr. Turkey,
Run away, run away.
IF you are not careful
You will be a mouthful
On Thanksgiving Day,
On Thanksgiving Day.

3 Fat Turkeys
3 fat turkeys perched in a tree,
1 flew down to sit by me.
2 fat turkeys perched in a tree,
1 flew down to sit by me.
1 fat turkey perched in a tree,
He flew down and sat by me.
No fat turkeys perched in a tree,
they are all strutting home
In a line behind me. |

Cooking Stone
Soup
(The Farmer In The Dell)
We're cooking
stone soup,
We're cooking stone soup,
Stir the pot,
It's getting hot,
We're cooking stone soup.
First, we add
potatoes,
First we add potatoes,
Stir the pot,
It's getting hot,
We're cooking stone soup.
Then we add....
(carrots, peas, water, onions, celery, green beans,
tomatoes, etc...) |
The Soup is Boiling Up
(The Farmer In The Dell)
The soup is boiling up,
The soup is boiling up,
Stri low, around we go,
The soup is boiling up.
First we make the broth,
First we make the broth,
Stir slow, around we go,
The soup is boiling up.
Now we add some chicken,
Now we add some chicken,
Stir slow, around we go,
The soup is boiling up.
Now we add some rice,
Now we add some rice,
Stir slow, around we go,
The soup is boiling up. |

I
Eat Turkey
(Are You Sleeping?)
I
eat turkey,
I eat turkey,
Yes, I do!
Yes, I do!
Turkey in my tummy,
Yummy, yummy, yummy
Good for me
Good for you.

Turkey Walk
Old turkey gobbler walks proudly.
Gobble, gobble, gobble
Strut, strut, strut
When he walks he gobbles loudly.
Gobble, gobble, gobble
Strut, strut, strut
Hold your head high if you please.
Gobble, gobble, gobble
Strut, strut, strut
And when you walk don't bend your knees.
Gobble, gobble, gobble
Strut, strut, strut.

Thanksgiving Day
"Thanksgiving Day is coming"
So Mr. Turkey said,
"And
very careful I must be
or I will lose my head."
The
pumpkin heard the turkey,
"Oh, goodness me, oh my,
They'll mix me up with sugar and spice
And I'll be pumpkin pie."
|
Turkey
Turkey in the barnyard
What does he say?
Gobble, Gobble, Gobble,
Gobble all day.
Turkey on the table
What do you say?
Yummy, Yummy, Yummy,
Yummy all day.
Turkey in my tummy
What do I say?
I ate too much turkey
ON THANKSGIVING DAY!

I'm
Glad I'm Not a Turkey
(Did You Ever See a Lassie?)
Oh,
I'm glad I'm not a turkey,
A turkey, a turkey
Oh, I'm glad I'm not a turkey,
On Thanksgiving Day!
They stuff you and bake you,
And then they all taste you,
Oh, I'm glad I'm not a turkey,
On Thanksgiving Day! |
Hello, Mr.
Turkey
(If You're Happy and You Know It)
Hello, Mr.
Turkey, how are you?
Hello, Mr. Turkey, how are you?
With a gobble, gobble, gobble,
And a wobble, wobble wobble.
Hello, Mr. Turkey, how are you? |

November
Do you know November’s here,
November’s here, November’s here?
Do you know November’s here?
A great time of the year!
Leaves are turning red and brown,
Many leaves are falling down.
Leaves have blown all over town.
A great time of the year!
Do you know November’s here,
November’s here, November’s here?
Do you know November’s here?
A great time of the year!
Each Thanksgiving means a lot.
Let’s give thanks for what we’ve got.
We can dance the turkey trot.
A great time of the year. |
Our Freedom and Liberty
America is our own land,
A land so great and wide,
A land where many people live
In freedom side by side.
America means different things,
To people great and small,
But when it comes to liberty,
It means the same to all!

I'm a Little Turkey
I'm a little turkey look at me,
Fat and plump as I can be.
Don't you try to catch me
Cause you see,
I'll hide behind the old oak tree. |
Thank you, Thank you
(Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star)
Thank you, thank you very much
For everything that I can touch.
Thanks a lot for nature's food.
And for when I'm feeling good.
Thank you, thank you very much.
For moms and dads,
And friends and such. |
